Firmengründer, Dr. Jackob BARNEA, begann als Medizinstudent Oldtimer zu sammeln und zu restaurieren. Ende 1980 mietete Dr. Jackob BARNEA Wiens älteste KFZ- Reparaturwerkstätte, renovierte diese und begann, auch für Kunden zu restaurieren.

Nebenbei wurden Oldtimer angekauft und sowohl national als auch international verkauft. Dr. Jackob BARNEA begann, interessante Oldtimer und Sportwagen zu sammeln und diese sowohl Filmgesellschaften, Werbeagenturen und Photographen für diverse Produktionen, als auch Privatpersonen für Hochzeits- und Geburtstagsfahrten zu vermieten.

Mittlerweile betreibt Dr. BARNEA mit mehr als 100 Fahrzeugen Europas größtes Oldtimervermietungsunternehmen und präsentiert in seinem, seit 1997 existierenden Automobil-Museum, Automobile und Motorräder aus der Zeit von 1886 bis 2006, darunter viele Raritäten.

Zur Abrundung bietet Dr. Barnea für Firmen und Organisationen Oldtimer-Rallyes und Sportwagen-Events an.

History

Founder Jackob BARNEA started purchasing and restoring classic and vintage cars during his time as a Med.-student. Towards the  end of the 1980s Dr. Jackob BARNEA restored Vienna’s oldest repair shop and started restoring vehicles for clients as well.

On the side he also bought and sold vintage cars of all sorts nationally and internationally. Around this period he started collecting interesting cars and hired them out for film-productions, advertising, photo shootings, weddings and other occasions alike.

1997 he founded his BARNEA automotive museum, where motorcycles and cars dating from 1886 to 2006, among them many classics and rarities, are presented till this day.

Nowadays Dr. Barnea owns more than 100 Vehicles and runs Europe’s largest oldtimer rental company.

To round that off, he organizes custom made classic and sports car rallyes and events for companies and organisations.
